ARCA with the National Museum of Crime and Punishment present...

The Dark Arts: Thieves, Forgers, and Tomb Raiders
ARCA has partnered with the National Museum of Crime & Punishment to focus on Crimes in the Arts. The exhibit will include information on theft, forgeries and looting. There will be a section devoted to the Gardner Museum Heist, which is an unsolved case of the largest property crime in US History.

  1. Curator Colette Loll Marvin is hosting an opening event on March 22nd, from 6-8:30pm and will welcome several distinguished guest speakers, including:

    Anthony Amore
    Director of Security for the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum
    will discuss the largest art theft in history on its 20th anniversary.

    Robert K. Wittman
    former special agent & senior investigator for the FBI Art Crime Team
    will discuss cases from his distinguished career as detailed in his new book Priceless.

    Greg Jackson
    Deputy Chief of Operations Division of Law Enforcement, National Park Service,
    will remark on the problem of looting in the National Parks.
